Symptom
In the Information Design Tool (IDT) Data Foundation (DF), there are two tables with the same name, because they come from different schemas. Their fully qualified names are different. For example:
- TCPS1.dbo.Customer
- TCPS2.dbo.Customer
When one of the tables is renamed away (e.g. Customer2), it cannot be renamed back to its original name (Customer), even though their fully qualified names are still different.
