2122133 - PI message processing stops with backlog in SMQ2

• Message processing stops in Process Integration (PI) 7.0 which is installed on a MaxDB database
• The messages may show various errors in transaction SXMB_MONI e.g. Mapping errors, RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION, RFC rfcSendInfo Lookup Exception
• A backlog is visible in transaction SMQ2
• There are sufficient free Dialog Work Processes
• The queues are in status "Running"
• The QIN-Scheduler is in status "Waiting"
• De-registering and re-registering the queues in transaction SMQR has no affect
• A system restart has no affect on the issue
• You capture Java Thread Dumps and these show a hang state with the Thread below:
