Symptom

  • Recovery times when booting ASE may be high during the free space calculation phase. 
  • This is the time between the following two lines in the ASE error log:

    Started filling free space info for database 'dbname'.
    .
    . <log deleted>
    .
    Completed filling free space info for database 'dbname'.
