2122662 - Error 208 - <table> not found reported even when the table exists - ASE 15.5 ESD#2 and lower

Symptom

Error 208 raised when SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) executes stored procedures that use a mixtures of local and temporary tempdb tables:

Msg 208, Level 16, State 1:
Procedure 'p', Line 1:
test_table not found. Specify owner.objectname or use sp_help to check whether the object exists (sp_help may produce lots of output).
