Symptom
- Slow response is accompanied by these repeating messages in the ASE log
- Example shows 2K and 'default data cache', but it can any pool size for any cache
The 2K memory pool of named cache default data cache (cache id 0, cachelet id 2) is configured too small for current demands (state 2). Transaction progress may cease or response time may increase.
- ASE server utilizes 2K memory pool heavily
- Spinlock contention on data cache
