2128381 - Compiler Error 158005 when using like() function - SAP ESP, SAP HANA SDS

Symptom

  • The project CCL is calling the like(string,pattern) function.
  • When the data type of the string parameter is a string variable (rather than a literal string), the compiler reports the following syntax error:

File:<filename>.ccl  Line:<line number in ccl file>  [ESP-3-158005] Invalid syntax at or before "<stream or window name>".
Please verify that the syntax is correct.
Using a keyword without quotes for an identifier could also give this error.
