2128947 - Switch From ODBC to SNC Incorrect Identity Column - SAP PB

Symptom

Switching From ODBC to SNC Results in Incorrect Identity Column Added On DW Update Properties.

An incorrect identity column is added to the update properties when the datawindow has computed columns defined in the datawindow such as the following:

.01 + .01 as net_grant

  • This is occuring when the datawindow was originally created with ODBC, then edited when connected with the SNC database interface.
  • Problem occurs when any changes to the datawindow are made that force the datawindow to update the update properties.
  • After editing, the edited datawindow now has a computed column as the identity column which is incorrect.
  • The identity column can be changed back to (none) but if there are multiple computed columns and you remove one, the next one shows up as the identity column.

In the datawindow source you can see that this has been changed.  The datawindow after being edited when connected to SNC has added identity=yes, see below.
