SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

2129518 - SMP: SMP failes to start after connecting to an ASE database. Read operation timed out.. ERROR CODE: 0. SQL State: JZ0TO

Symptom

  1. SMP is setup to use an ASE production database
  2. Upon Startup the server fails to start properly
  3. In the SMP Server log the following is noted:

    !MESSAGE SMP-INIT-002 SAP Mobile Server - cluster name:<cluster name> cluster version:3.0.5.0 supported versions:3.0.5.0

    !MESSAGE SMP-INIT-002 SAP Mobile Server - Succeeded Version Check.

    !ENTRY org.eclipse.equinox.launcher 4 0 2015-01-28 11:43:51.866

    !MESSAGE SMP-INIT-001 SAP Mobile Server - Failed to verify database status on startup. The following error was returned:JZ006: Caught IOException: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out use getCause() to see the error chain. ERROR CODE: 0. SQL State: JZ006
