2130733 - Connection Server running with errors after installation with custom database driver selections

After installation of SAP Crystal Server, ConnectionServer and ConnectionServer32 servers are showing failed in the CCM.  The Adaptive Processing Server shows running with errors, and checking the Adaptive Processing Server properties in the CMC shows the Adaptive Connectivity Service failed to start.

• Event Viewer may also show the ConnectionServers marked failed after repeatedly stopping and an Event ID 4096 from Server Intelligence Agent:

"server [SERVERNAME].ConnectionServer stopped with exit code = -1 (0xffffffff)."

• Trace logs for either failed server list the following error:

"[CS] CS Fatal Error. Error while reading the cs.cfg file: Error on read of CFG XML file : C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer\driver.cfg"
"[CS] The CS initialization failed within the CS server. Aborting."

• SAP Crystal Server 2011
• SAP Crystal Server 2013

Custom selections were made for the installed database drivers during the product installation. Selection of the Essbase database driver was deselected and not installed, but at least one ODBC database driver such as MS SQL Server was selected. The ConnectionServers are configured in such a way that selecting any SQL Server driver requires the Essbase database driver to also be installed.

• Selecting either to install the Essbase driver or all database drivers will allow the ConnectionServers to start correctly.
• If there is a specific reason why certain database drivers cannot be installed then start with all drivers selected for installation and remove them only as required.
