2131949 - Error Appears While Updating Delivery Date in the Purchase Order

Symptom

You have changed the Delivery Date to future date in the purchase order, where system sets the price to zero and shows the below error message;

Error: Item 1: Price missing; price required for expected follow-up documents invoice or ERS.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Purchase Requests and Orders work center
  2. Go to the Purchase Orders view
  3. Select the relevant Purchase Order
  4. Navigate to the Items tab
  5. Update the Delivery Date
  6. Select Check button

Cause

System sets the price to Zero, when you change the Delivery Date in the purchase order because the List Price maintained for the Product and Supplier combination is not active anymore for the updated Delivery Date. Since there is no active List Price in the system, Zero price has taken in to the purchase order. Further system will not allow the Zero price in the purchase order, if you expect a Supplier Invoice and hence the error message appears.

Resolution

You can create a new List Price with the Product and Supplier combination. Later pricing information will be taken automatically in to the purchase order and you can change the Delivery Date to future date in the purchase order.
