Symptom

  • Running more than one ONLINE DATABASE command on the same database simultaneously
  • ASE returns a signal 11 with modules:

    current process infected with 11
    des__clean()
    des_sysbuild()
    des_refreshall()
    rec_onlinetime.fdpr.chunk()
    onl_online_db.fdpr.chunk()
    online_database()

  • Spinlock is reported 

   Spinlocks held by kpid 3604508
   Spinlock Resource->rdesmgr_spin at address 0000000160603d80 owned by 3604508
   End of spinlock display

  • ASE hangs and cannot be shutdown normally
