2134321 - How to make an expired password valid again without resetting it ? - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • User passwords expire immediately after setting 'password expiration' at the server level and on connection message 4022 is returned:

    Msg 4022, Level 10, State 1:
The password has expired, but you are still allowed to log in. You must change your password before you can continue. If a login trigger is set, it will not be executed.

  • Is there a way to do this so they expire on the next interval and not immediately?
  • Need to make the password valid again without resetting the password

  • In a HADR environment, the following error may be seen in the RMA log:

Attempting to authenticate a session with a 'DBSERVER' connection to a 'ASE' as user 'DR_admin' on host and
getConnection: 01ZZZ: Password has expired Please set the NEWPASSWORD property with the new password or use sp_password to change passwords." in RMA log.
