2137182 - SQL Backtrack fails with error 8009 and error "too many open files" - ASE

Symptom

  • Using SQL Backtrack third party vendor tool databases
  • Multiple backup are backed up at the same time
  • Backups fail with the following error messages in the ASE error log:

Error 8009 Severity 16
Error encountered by %S_MSG.  Please refer to %S_MSG messages for details.

  • Backups fail with the following error message in the Backup Server error log:

Backup Server: 4.74.2.1: Unable to create database information file: Too many open files.
