2137231 - ADONET: Error 4837 raised or corrupted Japanese characters inserted with bulk-load interface - SAP SDK

Symptom

  • ADO.NET bulk-load interface with EnableBulkLoad = 1 or 2 raises a 4837 error when bulk-copying Japanese characters if server and client charsets are the same.\
  • It depends on data, but there are some cases in which corrupted characters are inserted into a table.
  • Bad row data received from the client while bulk copying into object <object ID> partition <partition ID> in database <database ID>. Received a row of length <number of bytes> whilst maximum or expected row length is <number of bytes>.
