2137321 - DB13 jobs connected to wrong SAPXPG_DBDEST_<SAPDBHOST> or DB host

Symptom

  • In the SAP Instance Profile, you have set the SAPDBHOST accordingly to your database host. The SM59 -> connection test for SAPXPG_DBDEST_ <SAPDBHOST> is successful. However, you noticed that the br*tools related jobs which are scheduled in DB13 or DBACOCKPIT -> Jobs -> DBA Planning Calendar, example: DBCheck job terminated with error.  In the DB13 job log, you noticed that the wrong database host is connected.

RZ11:

SAPDBHOST is set to NEWSAPDBHOST

 

DB13 -> Job log:

  • In the SM59 -> TCP/IP connections, you noticed that multiple RFC connection SAPXPG_DBDEST_ <SAPDBHOST> with different SAPDBHOST exist. When you tried to delete the old defined RFC connection manually in SM59, the wrong SAPXPG_DBDEST_ <SAPDBHOST> will still be generated automatically.
