2138136 - User attempting to install SAP Mobile Platform 3.0.6 using MS-SQL Server Named Instance and receives connection error - SUP/SMP

Symptom

User has installed MS-SQL Server using Named Instances on Windows machine and when attempting to install SAP Mobile Platform 3.0.6 using the MS-SQL Named Instance they are receiving a connection failure in the installer.  Review of installer log shows:

(Mar 4, 2015 1:18:06 AM), , com.installshield.smpserver.event.dialog.swing.PanelDBConfiguration, err, Failed to connect to Database using url jdbc:sqlserver://mssqlhost/SMP:1433;databaseName=SMP3 and user gomobile . Error: The TCP/IP connection to the host mssqlhost/SMP, port 1433 has failed. Error: "null. Verify the connection properties. Make sure that an instance of SQL Server is running on the host and accepting TCP/IP connections at the port. Make sure that TCP connections to the port are not blocked by a firewall."
