2138576 - Stack trace in en_cmp_dates when configuring an encrypted database - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Configuration parameters enable encrypted columns and FIPS login password encryption are enabled.
  • User session terminates unexpectedly.
  • ASE errorlog reports a signal 11 (Unix) or storage access violation (Windows) at address 'en_cmp_dates' with log entries looking like (offsets will vary by platform) :

SSL or Crypto Error Message: 'sybcsi_context_create'.
Current process (0x8b0046) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
