2140819 - FAQ: Archiving Inspection Lots - Archiving Object QM_CONTROL

During archiving of inspection lots different problems can occur

and/or

there are some questions regarding archiving of inspection lots or already archived lots.

1. Read about Archiving Inspection Lots in general.

2. Read about the Delete program (RQRQAB20). For example: why does it not run? Or why is it not possible to select files for delete program in transaction SARA?

3. An error message is raised during archiving of inspection lots. How to eliminate this error?

4. Preprocessing job/program selects less than 1000 inspection lots in a single run, why?

5. Inspection lot is not selected for archiving. What can be the reason?

6. How to display archived/deleted inspection lots?

7. Statistics for Delete run are not updated properly for archiving object QM_CONTROL. Affected columns are empty for example DB Space (Delete), DB Table Space (Delete), DB Index Space (Delete), DB Cluster Space (Delete).

8. Performance problems during archiving with object QM_CONTROL, and/or opening archive files.

9. 'Services for Object' (GOS) is not available for archived inspection lots. Therefore, GOS objects cannot be displayed.

10. QM_CONTROL has a different store hierarchy than other objects in the ILM Store Browser. (Information Lifecycle Management)

11. How to check statuses of archived inspection lots? Tables TJ02 (System status) and TJ30 (User Status) are not included in the archive file of object QM_CONTROL.

12. It is not possible to archive inspection lots without usage decision or which were not canceled. How to complete obsolete inspection lots?

13. Postprocessing step does not select / delete any inspection lot.

14. Preprocessing program (RQRQAB00) reads inspection lot, but does not select it for archiving.

15. Archiving job (write phase) is cancelled or write program (RQRQAB10) direct execution fails with error:
    'Error when opening the archive file' - QG801
    'Unable to determine runtime information' - BT801
    'Only &1 selection parameters can be defined. At the moment there are &2.' - BA490.
