2141796 - krb5.ini and global.properties rules for parent domain and child domain

Symptom

  • How do I configure krb5.ini and global.properties files when there are parent domain and child domain
  • BI/Tomcat server is from child domain, service account is from child domain as well, but AD users from Parent domain are supposed to login to BI using AD SSO
  • Important to note since the krb5.ini file is a java configuration file (not SAP configuration file) the ultimate responsibility for correct configuration falls on the customer or in consulting not support 
  • SAP support will attempt to provide best effort support for customers requiring the krb5.ini to integrate with Microsoft Active Directory
