2142911 - Cannot Export Large Volume of Data to Excel

You are trying to extract a large volume of data from the system to Excel, but no data is download and the browser shows an error message such as "The website cannot display the page" or "500 SAP Internal Server Error"

The reason why download fails is because of file size or memory dump: if the file is too big, then the session times out before the file can be downloaded.

For SAP Business ByDesign product, there is a restriction: the export to Excel functionality can handle export of data up to around 10,000 records.

You'll have to work with smaller data sets. If you are trying to export a search result, you can adjust the search parameters so that the creation of the spreadsheet is optimized.

1. On the screen you are trying to export the data, click the Advanced Filter button.
2. You have to apply more filtering criteria to reduce the total number of rows to around 10,000 so you can export the data required in chunks.
3. Click Export > To Microsoft Excel.

In SAP Cloud for Customer, to do mass data extraction, the recommendation is to use the Export option in the Data Workbench work center. The Data Workbench export does the download as a background job and automatically breaks the data into multiple files.
