2143301 - Database inconsistency: "Invalid next number return", Next Number pattern for Material Group is not used

Symptom

  1. The error message Database inconsistency: "Invalid next number return" (Message 1006) is thrown on receipt of Inventory from ERP (ECC) or via web service request.
  2. Default Next Number pattern for Material is used instead of the pattern for Material Group.
