The sp_ssladmin command returns ErrBadEncoding when adding certificate to the ASE database server.



  • SAP ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) 15.7 or 16.0 using openssl
  • SDK for ASE 15.7 SP130 (any level supporting openssl)
  • In this case openssl version: OpenSSL 1.0.1h-fips 5 Jun 2014 [run openssl version from the ASE installation copy of the openssl binary]
