Symptom

  • Using SAP ASE SDK 15.7, with python module, running sample program to test out database connectivity, test.py located in $SYBASE/$SYBASE_OCS/sample/python results in error:

Traceback (most recent call last): File "test.py", line 55, in <(><<)>module> import sybpydb
ImportError: ld.so.1: isapython2.6:
fatal: /export/lic01/sybase15.7/OCS- 15_0/python/python26_64r/lib/sybpydb.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

  • SUN Solaris X86 64-bit (Can also be Linux x86_64, HP x64, AIX x64, SPARC x64)
