Symptom
A system has been defined as PI system. In order to check and identify if the system has been defined as a central PI instance, you can use function module SXMB_GET_XMB_USE:
The following possible symptoms can appear during data extraction:
- Only the source sytem has been defined as central PI Instance
BW (target) system
- Transaction SM58
- Transaction IDX1: Port xxxx , client xxx, RFC destination contain error Message no. SR053
- Or 'No service for system SAPxxx, client xxc in integration directory."- Monitor for the appropriate request
SAP source system
- Transaction BD87: No IDocs arrived
- Transaction SM37: NO extraction job such as BIREQU* is available
- Transaction SM21: Error
- Only the BW system has been defined as central PI Instance
BW (target) system
- Transaction SM21:
- Monitor of the appropriate request; only RSINFO is missing, data has been uploaded
SAP Source System
- Transaction BD87: IDocs have been send with success
- Transaction SM37: Extraction job BIREQ* finished with success
- Transaction SM21:
