2144763 - Initiate Activity Button Is Grayed Out or Not Editable in Closing Cockpit

You have edited the period end closing and want to initiate activity for a period end task but the field is grayed out or not editable.

1. Go to work center General Ledger.
2. Go to view Closing Cockpit and select Closing Cockpit.
3. Select your period end close in question.
4. Click on Edit.
5. Period end closing screen opens, Select the row which belong to the Activity Type in question which you want to initiate activity.

Initiate activity button is grayed out.

Initiate Activity button will be active and editable only to the processor to whom this particular task is assigned.

In case the processor is no more responsible for the task or is no more working in the company then the responsible employee can change the processor, so that the processor assigned to the individual task is allowed initiate activity and this button will be enabled to perform manual activity.
