2145333 - MDM Servers will not start on RHEL - missing

Just like Note 1617048 states, MDSS fails to start, and the following error message is received:

/usr/sap/SID/MDSSXX/exe/mdss-r: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file:
No such file or directory.

However your linux distribution is RHEL 6.1, therefore the solution from Note 1617048 (installing the Fedora libraries) does not apply.

  • SAP Netweaver MDM 7.1
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 or 6
