Symptom

  • What is the meaning of the different user statuses (New, Active, Pending, Alumni)?
  • Can I search for the users in any status?

Resolution

The following are the explanation behind all the 4 user statues:

  • New: Users that have been synced to Jam / Work Zone but have never logged in. There have been no received workspace invitations or other interactions (e.g., profile views, @ mentions) with their account
  • Active: Users that have been synced to Jam / Work Zone and have also logged in at least once.
  • Pending: Users that have been synced to Jam / Work Zone but have never logged in. But their account has either received workspace invitations or have been @ mentioned.
  • Alumni: User accounts that have been deactivated and no longer has access to Jma / Work Zone.

Can I search for the users in any status?

Users in "New" status not searchable in Jam/Work Zone. Active and Pending users are searchable.
