2146147 - Advantage Database Server is slow when it is installed on Windows Server 2008 R2

Certain types of operations seem to run more slowly when Advantage Database Server (ADS) is run on Windows Server 2008 R2 compared to running ADS on other OS versions such as Windows Server 2003 and Windows 7 (using equivalent hardware).

For example, a simple application that appends records one at a time can demonstrate this slowdown. The speed differences are even bigger (relative to other OS's) when the client application runs on the server (on the same machine as ADS). The speed difference across the different OS's is sometimes more than a factor of 2 or even 3.
