2147065 - Conversion from UTF8 to USC2 failed: generic application exception error is displayed when Show Values is clicked for an object in IDT.

Symptom

  • Clicking on Show values for a specific object displayed the error: "Conversion from UTF8 to USC2 failed: generic application exception" from the IDT blx layer.
  • The same error is seen on refreshing a WebI report with the problematic object in the results object panel.
