2147150 - Spurious errors 100009, 100029 and 100030 on sysanchors reported by dbcc checkstorage - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Running dbcc checkstorage on master database reports faults on the sysanchors table
  • Messages most commonly reported are 100009, 100029 and 100030. Other messages can be seen.
  • Sample output returned to the client shows
DBCC CHECKSTORAGE for database 'master' sequence # completed at <datetime stamp>. 

X faults and 0 suspect conditions were located. 0 checks were aborted.
  • Running sp_dbcc_faultreport will show one or more errors on sysanchors and are likely to include, but not limited to, the ones listed below:
