2147856 - MobiLink or SQL Anywhere server may crash when using Oracle-provided Oracle ODBC drivers

Symptom

  • When using MobiLink with Oracle as a consolidated, or when using Oracle as a remote (proxy) database server from SQL Anywhere, with the Oracle ODBC drivers, MobiLink or the SQL Anywhere database server crashes randomly.
  • When SQL Anywhere crashes, a dump file should be produced in the SQL Anywhere dbsupport diagnostics directory, by default (See KBA 1987909)
  • After providing the dump file to SAP technical support (See KBA 1888595), when debugged, the dump file indicates that the Oracle ODBC driver (SQORA32.DLL) crashed.
