2148434 - SAML authentication with BI failed with error in libxmlsec

Symptom

  • 1900023 - How to setup SAML SSO to HANA from BI  was followied to setup SAML SSO to HANA from BI
  • When test connection from CMC-> Applications -> HANA Authentication, fails with error "authentication failed" 
  • From HANA indexserver log (with authentication tracing enabled), you see the following error:

    Authentication SAMLAuthenticator.cpp(00235) : ERROR in libxmlsec

    and / or

    SAMLAuthenticator.cpp(00387) : Unable to verify XML signature
