How to Edit or Maintain a Valid From - Valid To Date for Addresses in an Account?
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Account Management work center.
- Select Accounts view.
- Select and Edit an Account.
- Go to General tab.
- Select Communication sub tab and Addresses section.
Here there is Valid From and Valid To date specified. But there is no option to change it.
Neither when adding a new address row nor by select the current line there is no option to modify this date.
Resolution
The time dependent address details cannot be edited via Account Screen.
Account screen is capable of presenting the non-editable view of time dependent addresses maintained via migration or web-service. In case you wish to maintain the validity date and address details for different addresses, you need to do so via migration or web-service.
It’s also clearly mentioned in the help document that The time dependent address can be created and maintained through migration or service.
The new fields for time-dependent addresses are available in the migration template as hidden fields. You need to first un-hide the sheet Addresses and then un-hide the relevant fields on this sheet.
