To make a subsequent change in Responsibilities after an employee left the company the field Validity in the help selection field for Person Responsible ID shall be used. This field is not available on the screen for Mass Change Contact Data. But it is available on the screen for Mass Change Account Data.
In Mass Change Account Data, In the Validity field you can select from All Employees, to Current and Future Employees and Past Employees. This allows to search for active and inactive employees because contacts/accounts can also be assigned to terminated employees.
Whereas, Validity is not available in the Mass Change Contact Data.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Account Management work center.
- Go to Common Tasks and select Mass Change Contact Data.
- Select Advanced and select All Contacts from the drop down
- Select the Value Selection for Person Responsible ID
- Select Advanced, where Validity Field is not available.
Resolution
This feature is not available in the current release of SAP Business ByDesign.
