Symptom

Error is thrown during upload of new material unit cost: "Result SendChunkinstance(XmlDocument requestDoc)Missing Error Details in Service Response.Total Number of Records Saved:X"

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Inventory Valuation work center.
  2. Under Master Data View select Material Unit Costs.
  3. Click Import Unit Costs.
  4. Fill the required data and click Save Data to.

Cause

If the Cost UoM selected is different in the excel from that is maintained under Base UoM for this material in the master data, error message is thrown: "Result SendChunkinstance(XmlDocument requestDoc)Missing Error Details in Service Response. Total Number of Records Saved: X"

Resolution

The Base UoM maintained in the material master data and the Cost UoM that is selected in the excel should be same to upload material unit cost of the given material.
