Currency selected for report not showing in Axis
Cause
You should have more than one unit existent for the currency key figures. If so, it is an expected behavior. The current logic checks for units in values, If it has two or more different units (or even empty) then it treats it as difference in units.
As consequence, the system cannot provide any unit for the axis label, nevertheless the tooltip adapts to its respective unit and it shows the label accordingly.
Resolution
In case you still want to display the currency in Y-Axis regardless if you have assorted units involved, you still can maintain the Y-Axis label in the Chart Settings by customizing it in the following way:
- Open the report
- Click on the Show More icon (gear icon)
- Click on Chart Settings
- Check 'Show my Axis Description' box
- Fill out the Y-Axis Label (e.g. GBP, US, CNY, INR)
- Save the view
