Symptom

  • Rolling back a SPID
  • Error 624 is reported

Error: 624, Severity: 21, State: 1
Adaptive Server failed to retrieve a row via its RID in database 'XXXXX' because the requested RID has a higher number than the last RID on the page. Rid pageid = 0x......; row num = 0x.. Page pointer = 0x0x.....00, pageno = nnnnnnn, status = 0x11, ptnid = nnnnnnn, indexid = 0, level = 0.

  • A stacktrace is reported in the ASE error log with modules:

rec_undo_session()
abort__all()
xact__rollbackxact()
xact__rollback_local()
xact_rollback()
s_execute()

  • Error 2622 is reported after the 624 error:

Error: 2622, Severity: 21, State: 2
