2157646 - Point in time recovery failure - SAP IQ

Symptom

If database savelog is missing from backup archive directory, point in time recovery will fail with

  • Error during backup/restore: Files are missing for point-in-time recovery. SQCODE=-697, ODBC 3 State="HY000"

If IQ_SYSTEM_LOG is missing from backup archive directory, point in time recovery will fail with:

  • Required IQ_SYSTEM_LOG files not found for point in time recovery.
  • (dblib/db_backupCmds.cxx 3631)
  • SQLCODE=-1012059, ODBC 3 State="HY000"
