2157977 - Unable to Show Project Based Items in Sales Order Invoicing Overview in Field Invoice Request and Invoice


You have created a Project based Invoice or an Invoice Request in the system. Now, you search for the items in the Sales Order Invoicing Overview and notice that the system does not display any results for the Invoice Request and Invoice.

Also in Sales Order Invoicing Overview, when query for the Sales Orders without Invoice Scheduled, no Invoice ID appears.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
  2. Select the Sales Order Invoicing Overview view.
  3. In the drop-down menu select Sales Orders without Invoice Schedule.
  4. The search returns no results in Invoice Request and Invoice.


The fields Invoice and Invoice Request will not be available for Project based Items as the invoicing in such cases is not done on the Sales Order site.

It means that, in case you have a Project Task assigned in the Sales Order, the Invoice ID will not appear. The use of this view "Sales Orders without Invoice Scheduled" is to show the Sales Orders without Invoice Schedule and without a Project assigned.


Therefore, from a Sales Order side you won’t receive information about the Invoice. This is also the reason why you are not able to add the column Project Invoice Request.
