2158660 - After private install of ASE CE on AIX LPAR, second instance is NOT starting - ASE 15.7 on AIX

Symptom

  • sybcluster command "start cluster" on the first instance starts
  • The second instance appears as though it's trying to connect and then times out.
  • The follow message is reported:

INFO  - Instance c1 status is Init. The process will check every 20 seconds for 15 more times while the instance completes its startup..
INFO  - Instance c1 status is Init. The process will check every 20 seconds for 14 more times while the instance completes its startup...
No messages in the instance1 or instance2 log.
