Symptom

  • Running a Stored Procedure reports on a table with encrypted column returns error 11060:

Msg 11060, Level 16, State 1:
Server '<SAP ASE servername>', Procedure 'test_sp', Line 4:
This statement has exceeded the maximum number of recompilations (10). This indicates an internal error. Please note the error prior to this one and contact SAP Technical Support.
(return status = -6)

  • Error 225 may also be reported:

Msg 225, Level 16, State 11:
Server '<SAP ASE servername>', Line 1:
Cannot run query--referenced object (name NAME NOT RECOVERABLE) dropped during
query optimization.
