2160723 - Candidate Bypassed Orientation Step - [ONB]

Symptom

  • The candidate was not found in the Orientation step
  • A candidate skipped the Orientation Step in Onboarding
  • Audit trail indicates a candidate was able to bypass the Orientation Step after NES was completed

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HCM > Onboarding
  2. Search for the affected candidate(s) in work queue
  3. Check Audit trail for the affected candidate(s) to confirm Orientation step was skipped after NES was completed

Cause

The candidate was flagged as a REMOTE HIRE.

  1. Check for the Documents under Document Centre.

  1. Notice there is a US I-9 Remote form under the Document Centre.
  2. This means the candidate is a Remote Hire. Hence, as per the process, Remote Hires will not have an Orientation step.

Resolution

  1. Note a Remote Hired Candidate will not have the Orientation step during hiring process.
  2. Please see the below process followed for remote hires:
