2160842 - How to Create a Local/Cloud Atom In Boomi AtomSphere

This document explains how to install a local/Cloud atom in Boomi platform.

• Windows / Linux
• Necessary software : Java Runtime Environment (JRE 1.6 is minimum and 1.7 is maximum version) 

Section 1:

1. Log into Boomi Account and click on the build tab, in the home screen of Build tab you will see create, under this click on "Atom".

      2.  Select the local Atom option and choose the version of windows(32 or 64 bit), linux(32 or 64 bit). Click on "ok" and save the file on your local machine or desktop.

      3.  Now double click on this downloaded file and when it asks for permission to install click “Yes”.

      4.  Once the installation starts there will be a initial screen which asks you to locate or download Java version to your computer. If you have already installed the Java please browse by clicking on "Locate". If you have not installed the Java software please click on "download" button.

      5.  Once you click on download the following window pops up and downloads the latest Java version based on the architecture you have chosen (Windows or Linux during step 2).

      6.  As soon as the download completes the Java software will get installed. Once the Java is installed, please locate the Java.exe . A screen will pop up, click "next".

      7.  In this screen enter the credentials which you use to sign in into Boomi account. Configure the proxy and click "Next". The proxy settings can be found by going to Internet explorer Internet options -> Connections tab -> LAN Settings .

      8.  In this screen select the account in which you have to install the local atom and then Click "Next".

      9.  Click "Next".

     10.  Click "Next".

     11.  Click next in this screen. Installation will start.

     12.  Click on "Finish" to complete the set up.

     13.  Once the installation is completed, you can go to the Boomi account into which you have installed the Local atom and check for the same by clicking on  Manage tab-> Atom Management.

Section 2:

1. Log into Boomi Account and click on the build tab, in the home screen of Build tab you will see create, under this click on "Atom".

       2. To install a cloud atom into your account, chose "In The Cloud" instead of "Local".

      3. Choose the cloud and provide the "Atom Name" and click on OK.
