2162000 - Attempt to view attachments in Android Fiori Client 1.2.x receives error - FC/KAP

Symptom

User running Adnroid 4.4.4 and Fiori Client 1.2.4 with SAP Fiori Purchase Order application with DOCX and PDF attachments.  Attempting to open attachment on Android receives error: 

The web page at https://myfioriserver.com/sap/opu//odata/sap/ <url to attachment> could not be loaded as: net;;ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED

Same issue did not occur in Fiori Client 1.1.8.  Screen error in Android is:
