2162195 - Classic Report output file is appearing in V4E format even after exporting the report in excel format

Symptom

  1. Unable to export the Detailed Document Search Report in Excel format.
  2. Classic Report - Objective Search: Scheduling Export changing file format from Microsoft Excel to SuccessFactors v4e.
  3. Report output file is appearing in V4E format even after exporting the report in excel format.

Environment

  • SuccessFactors HCM Core
  • Classic Reports
  • Detail Document Search

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Classic Reports - Detail Document Search
  2. Export the report in excel format.

Resolution

If the output format is "xls", the output format will be:

  1. An excel file IF the output will have less than ~1000 documents.
  2. "v4e" file if the output will have more (or equal) than ~1000 documents. The automatic conversion into "v4e" is due to avoid the limit of 65000 rows of excel file.
