2163108 - Adaptive Processing Server and WebIntelligenceProcessingServer restart when creating WebIntelligence document based on huge Excel file

Symptom

When creating WebIntelligence document from Launchpad based on a huge Excel file (more than 7 MB) the following behavior occurs:

  • Adaptive Processing Server containing Excel Data Access Service uses high memory (More than 5 GB).
  • WebIntelligenceProcessingServer and Adaptive Processing Server containing Excel Data Access Service restart automatically.
  • The following error is displayed:

Notice that when creating the WebIntelligence document from Webi Rich Client the following error occurs: "com.sap.sl.cdp.exception.CDPSLException: An error has occurred from the server. Unable to create or update the Excel personal data provider: cannot open the workbook. (IES 10872)".
