2163384 - MSSQL Error: 102 "Incorrect syntax near '/' " replicating UDB to MSSQL - SRS

Symptom

  • Replicating from UDB (ie, not mainframe DB2) to Microsoft SQLServer (MSSQL).
  • Getting error in SAP Replicaiton Server (SRS):

ERROR #1028 DSI EXEC(nnn(1) MSSQL_ECDA.DBNAME)
Message from server: Message: 102, State 0, Severity 15 --
'[[Message Iteration=1|Data Source Name=SQL_SAP_REP|SQLState=42000|Native Error=102|Message=[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQLServer]Incorrect syntax near '/'.]'.

THREAD FATAL ERROR #5049 DSI EXEC(105(1) MSSQL_ECDA.DBNAME)
The DSI thread for database 'MSSQL_ECDA.DBNAME' is being
shutdown. DSI received data server error #102 which is mapped to
STOP_REPLICATION. See logged data server errors for more information.

The data server error was caused by output command #0 mapped from input
command #0 of the failed transaction.

  • Repserver log shows lots of question marks ( "?" ) in the generated SQL statments.
