Symptom

  • Database dump cannot be loaded
  • Load terminates while in progress
  • Backup Server log reports messages:

A00: SYBMULTBUF ERROR: uncompress(): Not enough room in the output buffer
or
A01: SYBMULTBUF ERROR: uncompress(): Input data corrupted

followed by

Backup Server: 4.139.2.22:
The 'uncompress' call failed for database/archive device while working on stripe device '/path/to/dump_stripe' with error number 0 (Success).
Backup Server: 6.32.2.3:
/path/to/dump_stripe volume not valid or not requested
Backup Server: 1.14.2.4:
Unrecoverable I/O or volume error.  This DUMP or LOAD session must exit.
