2163544 - Error : conf/svnserve.conf:18: Option Expected while running any svn commands to check the SVN repository

Symptom

  • When running command's to check the svn repository like ./svn ls svn://localhost:3690/<repository_name> or
    ./svn mkdir svn://localhost:3690/<repository_name> gettingerror 'svnserve.conf:18: Option Expected'.

Example :

svn: E200002: Unable to connect to a repository at URL 'svn://localhost:3690/svn_repository
svn: E200002: /home/subversion/svn_repository/conf/svnserve.conf:20: Option Expected

or

svn: \conf\svnserve.conf:12: Option expected
svn: Your commit message was left in a temporary file:
svn: 'svn-commit.8.tmp'
