2164674 - long running reads on EFWK tables - Solution Manager - SAP ASE for BW

Symptom

You are running Solution Manager 7.1 on the SAP ASE database. You have ATM set up for updating statistics on the Solution Manager Extractor Framework (EFWK) tables on a regular basis.
Despite ATM setup, you find Early Watch Alert (EWA) reports to run very slow from time to time.
In SM50, you notice long-running sequential reads on the F-fact tables belonging to the following EFWK Infocubes:

  • 0SMD_PEH1
  • 0SMD_PEH2
  • 0SMD_PED2
  • 0CCMAWDH2
  • 0CCMAWDH1
  • 0CCMAWDD1
